Office hours are Monday thru Thursday 9:00AM - 5:00PM.
Trash and recycling is picked up each Thursday, unless one of the following holidays falls during the week: Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years day, then pick up will be on Friday. Trash and recycling should be in seperate clear bags. Bags must be placed at the curb by 7:00AM. The following items will be accepted for recycling: aluminum cans and clean aluminum foil, tin cans, steel cans, aerosol cans, dried/empty paint cans, glass bottles and jars, #1 -7 plastics, newspaper, magazines, books, school/office paper, brown corrugated cardboard (flattened), gray chipboard (cereal and shoe boxes), brown paper bags, shredded paper (secured in a clear plastic bag). There is no parking on Main Street and alternate side parking in effect for most other Village streets from November 15 to April 1, 2am - 6am.
Ordinance 14.303 (2)
(a) Between November 15 and April 1, no person shall park or leave standing any vehicle on Main Street between Center Street and Murray Street, between the hours of 2am and 6am.
(b) During the period on November 15 of each calendar year to April of the following calendar year, all vehicles parked, between 2am and 6am, on those Village streets where parking is allowed, shall park on the odd-numbered side of the street on odd-numbered days and on the even-numbered side of the street on even-numbered days, except the following streets are exempt from this requirement:

- Bluff Street west of Good Street
- Eddy Avenue
- First Street
- Maple Street
- Oak Circle Drive
- O'Harron Street
No permit is needed for outdoor cooking over a fire contained in a device or structure designed for such use.
However burning of leaves, grass or other vegetation requires a permit which must be obtained from the Fire Chief prior to the burning.
All persons who build, start, tend or maintain outdoor fires shall be liable for all damage resulting there from.
To reserve the shelter at Nelson Park or the Village Hall at 304 Center Street, you can call the Village Clerk's office at 608-427-3355.
If you reside in the Village there is no charge for use of the park shelter. If you live outside of the Village there is a $20.00 fee.
Fees for rental of the Village Hall are $225 if you are a resident of the Village, and $275 if you are not. Plus a $100 security deposit that will be returned after inspection as long as renter has abided by contract and properly cleaned upon end of rental.
