BOARD OF REVIEW
The Board of Review is a quasi-judicial board which meets on an annual basis during the 45-day period beginning with fourth Monday in April. The Activities of the Board are governed by Wis. Stats 70.47.
OPEN BOOK & BOARD OF REVIEW
Change in assessment notices are sent at minimum 15 days before the meeting of the Board of Review in a maintenance year, and 30 days in a reevaluation year.
If your assessment has changed, Open Book allows property owners an opportunity to sit down with the assessor and compare their assessed value with similar (like) properties within the Village. The assessor is available to speak directly with you in attempts to clarify the reasoning behind the value placed on your property.
If a property owner still feels their assessment is incorrect, you have the opportunity to file an objection and have a hearing at the Board of Review.
April 29th, 2024 - Assessment Roll will be open for examination
April 30th, 2024 - Open Book from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
May 7th, 2024 - First Meeting of Board of Review from 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

OBJECTION FILING DEADLINE
May4th, 2024 at 4:30 p.m. - Please note office hours. Written notice of intent to file an objection will need to be emailed after May 2nd at 5:00 p.m. to [email protected]. You may leave a message with your intent via voicemail, but we request to email form PA-115 - Objection Form for Real Property Assessment. See below for the proper form.
You must give the BOR clerk either a written or oral notice of intent. There is no specific form for your notice. The Wisconsin Department of Revenue (DOR) and the Village of Camp Douglas encourages you to submit a written notice. When a municipality receives a verbal notice of intent, we can request you complete the official Objection Form for Real Property Assessment (PA-115A) 48 hours before the first meeting, which would also serves as notice of intent.
